Her naughty costume - Chapter 3

"Now, now...I know it's not the most...conventional costume for a guy like yourself, but trust me...you'll lose yourself in this one and love it!" the man said to me with a tone that seemed to almost suggest he knew something I didn't.

I stood there in silence for a moment, contemplating my options. My usual shyness and timidity seemed to fade away for some reason, and I ended up nodding in agreement, my curiosity becoming too much to resist. I hesitated and looked at my phone, realizing I only had an hour before the party would start.

"Well...how much for it sir? I mean...I really have almost no time left to get ready and...I'm worried it will look weird on me..." I said with an almost hushed tone.

The shopkeeper seemed to chuckle at my concern and took the costume from my hands even as he waved a hand at me like it was of no major concern.

"Oh there's no problem then! The costume is only a mere $20 and we actually have a special changing room in the back if you would like to get ready in there before you head off for your party!" the mysterious shopkeeper assured me with a grin.

I hesitated, but after a quick glance at the clock on my phone again, I realized that going home to change simply wasn't an option and most likely I would never make it to another store to look if they had had any other costumes in time. Plus, $20 for a costume was a pretty good deal and hopefully I could pull this off and make it a night to truly remember.

"Alright...I'll take it please!" I said to him as I felt a little more reassured.

Taking a deep breath, I handed over the money and took the costume from him. The shopkeeper pointed me towards the back of the store to the changing room, and I made my way there slowly, feeling somewhat unsure of what awaited me on the other side of the door. The changing room was much larger than I had ever anticipated; filled with warm light and adorned with an ornate mirror on one wall. Even the door was large and assured that I had total privacy to myself.
