Pills dillema - Chapter 8

"So...what do we do now? Just swallow them down? Mix them up in a drink?" Bryan asked, his skepticism creeping into his voice. He stared at the pills, which glistened like dollops of sherbet against the stark background of the coffee table.

"We shouldn't mess around with this!" Bryan insisted, sounding more panicked now, "We don't know what's gonna happen. I don't think we should take them all at once. Maybe just one each and wait a bit? See what happens?"

Jim shook his head and tried to calm them down as he worried his buddies would back out now and maybe even cause him to doubt his long shot miracle money plan.

"Guys...it will be okay. We just need to swallow them down with some water...and maybe...uhm...strip naked before hand?"Jim asked bashfully, his gaze flitting between the pink pills and his two friends.

"Bryan...let's just try it out. I'm tired of being broke and poor. Besides...if they don't work we just probably get high or something." Tommy said with a chuckle.

"Alright...but I'm not getting naked in front of you guys. I'll strip and take this in my room, thank you very much!" Bryan grumbled, snatching a pill from the velvet lining. He disappeared into the darkness of the hallway, the thud of his bedroom door punctuating the tension-filled air.
