Evans transformation - Chapter 3

I skimmed the passage, and it promised that the spell would make anyone of the gender of your choosing fall in love with you. Again I had to almost keep myself from laughing in my dorky and laughable snort. Maybe the spell would work, but I was not going to be that gullible. I flipped through the pages of the book, but my eyes kept coming back to that silly spell.

The antique book was filled with strange and cryptic incantations, and I was amazed by how much it was filled with so many different spells that I was starting to second guess my initial thoughts of it. This spell book, even though it was old and likely out of date, seemed to be the most genuine thing I had found in my life.

I decided that maybe I should give it a shot and would buy it after all. I took the spell book to the front of the store, and I asked the cashier, an old man with spectacles and a graying beard, how much it was. He looked at the book and gave me a smirk, as if he knew something I didn't.

"Ah, you found our most interesting piece. I'll give it to you for five dollars. You're in luck, young man, as I have been looking for a worthy owner for that one."
